What's Happening at the Minnesota Valley Humane Society
Wednesday, February 26th, 2003
Thank you to everyone who gave a gift to the Minnesota Valley Humane Society to support the medical needs of Courtney, the sweet golden retriever diagnosed with tumors.
We are happy to report that, thanks to the kindness of strangers, Courtney's medical needs were met and she was placed in a loving home. All additional funds raised were placed in a separate medical savings account to be used to help pay the medical expenses of other animals who are awaiting new homes here at MVHS. In addition to vaccinating and spaying/neutering animals prior to adoption, MVHS often must treat animals for existing medical conditions. Despite the discounts we receive from local vets, these treatments and medications can be very expensive. Your donation will enable us help even more animals.
Thank you for helping Courtney and the other animals at the Minnesota Valley Humane Society! Your support does make a difference.

Good News for Courtney!
The biopsy results were negative! Courtney is curently on medications for her condition. Dr. Evans from Bloomington Veterinary Hospital, wants to "wait and see" what effect the medications and special diet has on Courtney's condition. There is still a possibility that Courtney will need surgery, but for now, medication is the best option.
We are incredibly grateful for the support we have received from the community. Many concerned individuals gave a donation to help pay for the cost of Courtney's care. The Minnesota Valley Humane Society will be able to pay for any procedure that Courtney needs. Additional money will be placed in a special Medical Expense Fund that will benefit other MVHS animals that need special care.
Thank You!
